How about living the dream...? Coming to an island in the middle of the Atlantic and enjoying a life where you work on yout terms and hours that suit...?

Well, I was thinking the same... but it's not easy... At first you enjoy the life, the prices and the easy "Manana" way of getting things done. Later you become frustrated at the slow pace with which everything is done. You are from a 1st world economy and expect people to be "on time" and expect things to be completed when they are supposed to be.

"Supposed to be"...? Well Spanish culture is a little different to English and yea things get done, but slowly, sometimes very slowly.

What I enjoy most is the fact that I speak the lingo and can get things done and I also have to wait, just like everyone else, but hyey... beer's cheaper so I relax with a beer while I'm waiting, in the sun...!
