In web terms this would be "Traffic, Call to Action, Conversion". Pretty much anyone these days can create a website and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that if you throw money at marketing you can drive traffic to your website. However, getting a sale from this traffic can be difficult if you are not managing how your visitors use your website. So how do you convert a visitor into a sale...? Simple, with what we refer to as a call to action. This can be as simple as "Contact Us Now" or an offer "View Our Bronze Maintenance Package". Or more complex such as a prize draw, link to a product offer, special service for registered members or anything that you think might entice a prospect to make contact. That said, it's only part of the battle because many times it will be a person at the end of a phone or mail that seals the deal for you and represents you or your company when dealing with the client. It's important to remember that everyone is busy and you should give them as much information as is necessary for them to make a decision that the product you have is the one they want at the price and availability they want. With those criteria filled any contact made should be pre-qualified and ready to spend hard cash. |
