Hi Visitor
Hi. Just a quick update on availability and preferred methods of contact for getting work done...
Effective from 6th February
What's in This Issue...
New working Hours
From 6th February I'll be available from 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday for tasked work or to take on new tasks for your website. I'll also be available Saturday from 9am until 12pm and will be using this time mostly to schedule work for the week ahead that hasn't already been attended to.
Please feel free to contact me during these hours with any work you require and work will be dealt with according to the working practices outlined below.
New Working Practices
Some time ago I tried a helpdesk system and it got used by most customers. However, by far the preferred method of contact for most is mail because they know I've received it and will attend to it as soon as I can. A Telephone call is fine also. However, I would suggest that you follow this with a quick mail to outline what we've discussed because I may forget the call moments later as I am working on other things while we speak.
What I would like to suggest is that all future requests for work should be mailed and will be dealt with according to the following criteria...
- Priority work will be done before anything aesthetic
- Website offline is an obvious example or where a page simply does not display the correct content
- An online shop that cannot take orders for example would be dealt with prior to a new banner design
- Content comes next and anything textual that can have a direct impact on your business
- Functionality follows this, for example loading a new page or editing website navigation
- Aesthetics are sadly at the bottom of the list because it doesn't matter what it looks like, if it doesn't work, it needs fixing
The above list of-course will also take into consideration how much time is allocated to your project and how much has been used up to that point.
At this point the work requested will either be done in turn or be tasked for later.
If you have any questions regarding the above please feel free to get in touch...
