It's been a busy month and a busy start to the new year and there's some great news that you're sure to love so read on and find out what's new, what's changed and what's been thrown out with the old year...!
The most significant change is to your hosting plan, there's oodles of space now so it's been divided up between all the active clients and you now have about 5-8 times more space (depending what plan you are on), more details below...
What's in This Issue...
Hosting Provider Change
All sites have now been succesfully migrated accross to the new server which is located in one of the largest data centres in the world. This means that as your website grows, as your business grows, your website server space can grow with it. With this also comes additional features such as more regular backups, more redundancy and an ability to develop and launch multiple websites extremely quickly.
Hosting Plans Changes
To give you an example. A customer on a Bronze hosting and maintenance package would pay 50 Euros a month for 100 Mb of storage. That customer now has 800 Mb of storage. More than enough I'm sure you'll agree...!
Increased server space and bandwidth are just the tip of the iceberg but fundamental you'll agree because with more space comes more possibilities and you can expand your website to meet your ideals quite easily.
New Backup Procedures
The primary reason for moving your website to the US server was space, more was needed. Also, as an unexpected result some websites are actually enjoying higher Google rankings and I believe this is simply due to server response times.
Now that more space is available regular weekly backups will be taken. If for any reason a backup fails (usually due to lack of server space) then a temporary upgrade will be applied free of charge and remedial measures advised. However, if the space is still required the following month this will be charged for as per our standard rates (unlikely now but advised all the same).
One Click Login
The new one click login feature has just been implemented on Website Design Tenerife. To use this simply login to Website Design Tenerife and click the "My Account - Overview" option from the "My Acocunt" menu.
This will give you access to all the usual information such as your contract type, which maintenance packages you are under for each domain, hours contracted and completed and more importantly it will now also provide:
- Detailed list of all domains
- Whether each is a primary domain (has a website)
- Which are parked (using another website)
- The expiry date for each
- Direct link to the cPanel login
This last feature is by far the most powerful as it logs you straight into your cPanel allowing you complete administrative control of your domain including mail accounts, files, web visitor logs, domain management tools and a whole lot more.
