Change is inevitable. Progress is the product of change and with that I am always looking for ways of improving what is available, what you receive and how it's delivered.

Keeping that in mind I have held off informing anyone of recent activities until I was certain a solution could be put in place and that's why you are receiving this update.

Facebook FanGates

For those of you who have a FanGate at the moment it will be disabled shortly due to changes in Facebook's procedures because all code for FanGate pages now has to be presented from a secure server.

This is being resolved and a secure domain is being procured to present this data. There will be a cost associated with this. However, it is not expected to exceed 15 Euros (GBP for UK based clients) a month.

More details will be available in the next update that you receive.

Hosting Changes

In order to improve your website's response times and speed I have been reasearching new providers over recent months and simply had a few simple requirements:

The control panel interface is identical or at least very similar
You have the same resources available that you have now
The price does not increase
The transition does not affect your business unduly

I'm pleaseed to tell you that a provider has been found that meets all the above criteria and in addition will not mean an increase in your pricing while at the same time providing significantly more resources such as disc space and bandwidth.

I will be moving a few personal domains across to the new provider over the next few days and testing these prior to migrating any client domains. You should not notice any issues with your website and any down time will be kept to a minimum. However, just like moving address, when you move a website there's a short period in which it will probably be offline and I expect this will be less 12 hours.
